Op. Dr. Yalçın İşcan is an ophthalmologist. He graduated from Istanbul University in 2005. He completed his ophthalmology residency at Bakırköy Dr. Sadi Konuk Training and Research Hospital in 2010. He has more than 15 years of specialist experience. He performed thousands of eye surgeries at Batman Regional Hospital between 2011 and 2015. He worked at Private Batman Dünya Hospital from 2015 to 2025.
At Dünya Hospital, he provided care in cataract surgery, corneal transplantation, refractive procedures (PRK, LASIK, SMILE, phakic IOL), strabismus, oculoplastics, lacrimal surgery, pterygium, and keratoconus treatments (CXL, ICRS). He helped develop the unit into a regional referral center. Since 2023, he has also practiced two days a week at Pendik Medical Park and Kudret Göz Istanbul. Since 2020, he has been active in R&D. He founded a technopark start-up and built an AI-based red-eye decision support system. He continues to develop ophthalmic software and devices. He has several publications.
