Li Guiyuan, MD, is Chief Physician in the Department of Medical Oncology at Shanghai Tongji Hospital. He has practiced oncology since 1996 and has more than 20 years of experience. He earned a master’s degree in Oncology from Nanjing University in 2003. He has worked in the hospital’s Oncology Department since then.

His clinical work includes chemotherapy for lung, breast, ovarian, and gastrointestinal cancers. He also provides targeted and anti‑angiogenic therapies for malignant tumours. He manages malignant pleural and peritoneal effusions and bone metastases with multimodal care, including immunotherapy.

He has authored more than 10 basic and clinical papers, including “Tumour Hypoxia and Its Therapeutic Strategies” and “Establishment of Tumour Model with B16 Melanoma Cell Line of C57BL/6 Mice in ICR Mice.” He received the Medical Achievement Award from the General Logistics Department of the PLA for “Research and Application of Early‑diagnosis and Prediction Model for Metastasis of Non‑small‑cell Lung Cancer.” He co‑authored “Evidence‑based Oncology Treatment” and “Handbook of Modern Evidence‑based Diagnosis and Treatment of Cancer.” He has also taken part in key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
