Personal Profile

Dr. Liu Na is a Chief Physician, Doctor of Medicine, and Doctoral Supervisor, as well as a Visiting Scholar in the United States and a Postdoctoral Fellow in Switzerland. She currently serves as the Director and Academic Leader of the Department of Gastroenterology at Hainan Provincial People's Hospital.

In 2004, she obtained her doctoral degree from the Fourth Military Medical University (now Air Force Medical University), where she studied under Academician Fan Daiming, an internationally renowned gastroenterology expert.

She subsequently worked at Xijing Hospital (ranked No. 1 in China for gastroenterology for 10 consecutive years from 2009 to 2018) and the Second Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University. She also served as a key member of the National Clinical Research Center and the National Key Laboratory of Cancer Biology.

Achievements

Dr. Liu has served as the principal investigator of 4 National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) projects and has participated in nearly 30 national research projects, including key and major NSFC projects.

She has published more than 83 SCI-indexed papers, including 31 papers as first or corresponding author (including co-first/co-corresponding authors), in leading journals in the field such as PNAS and Clinical Cancer Research.

She has received one First Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, participated in the compilation and translation of 6 books, and holds 5 national invention and utility model patents.

Professional & Academic Positions

She serves as a Standing Committee Member of the Professional Committees for Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine in Gastric Cancer, Neuroendocrine Tumors, and Tumor-Associated Gastrointestinal Diseases under the China Anti-Cancer Association.

She is also a member of the Chinese Medical Association's Society of Gastroenterology, a member of the Collaborative Group of the Society of Digestive Endoscopy, Deputy Secretary-General of the Oncology Branch of the Chinese Geriatrics Society, and a member of the Oncology Professional Committee of the Integrated Medicine Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, among other academic positions.

Areas of Expertise

Diagnosis and comprehensive individualized treatment of gastrointestinal tumors, particularly neuroendocrine tumors, as well as precancerous lesions.
