Dr. Hayrettin Kesmezacar is an orthopaedic surgeon at Gayrettepe Florence Nightingale Hospital in Istanbul. He joined the hospital in 2013 and holds a current appointment from 2024. His clinical focus includes shoulder and elbow surgery, shoulder instability, rotator cuff tears, and orthopaedic trauma.

He became Professor at Bilim University Medical Faculty in 2011. He was appointed Associate Professor at Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa in 2006. His training includes residency and fellowship at Cerrahpaşa in 1997 and 2000. He completed visiting fellowships at Cornell HSS in 2004 and Western Ontario/LHSC in 2009. He holds a CRA certificate from Oxford College (2024). As of 2024, he serves as a CRA at Mount Sinai Hospital ICU Research (iCORE).

He has peer-reviewed publications in J Shoulder Elbow Surg, Acta Orthop Traumatol Turc, Arthroscopy, and others. His work includes a 22.4-year follow-up study on displaced supracondylar humerus fractures. He also reported 6-year outcomes for hallux valgus.

Biorąc pod uwagę, że przyjechaliśmy do Stambułu późno w sobotę wieczorem, mój asystent nadal wysyłał SMS-y do mnie i lekarza w niedzielę, dzięki czemu mogłem udać się do lekarza w poniedziałek rano, a następnie umówić się na operację następnego dnia. W innych miejscach nie byłoby to możliwe, a całe doświadczenie było bardzo przyjemne!
