Prof. dr Süleyman Bülent Bektaşer urodził się w Kayseri w 1968 roku. Ukończył studia na Wydziale Lekarskim Uniwersytetu Hacettepe w 1992 roku. W 1997 roku ukończył szkolenie specjalizacyjne z ortopedii i traumatologii w Ankara Dr. Muhittin Ülker Emergency and Traumatology Hospital, pisząc pracę dyplomową na temat „Zastosowania całkowitej endoprotezoplastyki stawu kolanowego i wczesne wyniki”.
