Prof. dr Cenk Eray Yıldız ukończył studia na Wydziale Lekarskim Cerrahpaşa Uniwersytetu Stambulskiego w 1996 r., a następnie specjalizację uzyskał w Katedrze Chirurgii Sercowo-Naczyniowej w Instytucie Kardiologii Uniwersytetu Stambulskiego.

Podczas specjalizacji brał udział w badaniach nad komórkami macierzystymi (Stem Cell Therapy) związanymi z sercem i naczyniami krwionośnymi w Ameryce i Niemczech oraz badaniach nad sztucznymi systemami podtrzymywania serca. Był członkiem zespołu chirurgicznego w zastosowaniu sztucznego urządzenia podtrzymującego serce, które zostało po raz pierwszy zainstalowane na Uniwersytecie Yeditepe w Stambule i pracował nad projektem sztucznego serca. Brał udział w utworzeniu Wydziału Chirurgii Sercowo-Naczyniowej Cypryjskiego Uniwersytetu Bliskowschodniego i pomyślnie ukończył 35 operacji na otwartym sercu jako zespół.
