Prof. Dr. Deniz Süha Küçükaksu is a cardiovascular surgeon with over 35 years of experience. He specializes in adult and pediatric cardiac surgery, heart transplantation, and mechanical circulatory support. He leads the Heart Transplantation and Artificial Heart Center at Başkent University Istanbul Hospital.

Dr. Küçükaksu completed his medical and surgical training in Turkey. He also received advanced fellowships in Germany, France, and the United States. His focus has been on LVAD systems and heart failure surgery.

He introduced mechanical circulatory support and artificial heart programs in Turkey. He has performed many types of surgeries, including coronary bypass (off-pump), valve replacements, aortic repair (EVAR/TEVAR), and reoperations. He has also established heart transplant centers at several institutions.

Dr. Küçükaksu has held senior academic and administrative roles. He has contributed to total artificial heart surgery and hybrid cardiovascular procedures. He has received national and international awards for his scientific and surgical work.

Dr. Gokhan Ertas is a Professor of Cardiology. He has broad experience in ischemic heart disease, cardiac arrhythmias, and heart failure. Dr. Ertas earned his medical degree from Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine. He completed his cardiology residency at Kocaeli University. In 2020, he became a Professor of Cardiology. Dr. Christoph W. Kopp is an Austrian cardiologist and angiologist with over 20 years of experience in interventional medicine. He has performed vascular interventions since 2001 and interventional cardiology since 2007. He has worked at Wiener Privatklinik since 2004, where he diagnoses and treats cardiovascular diseases.

He combines clinical work with research. He has contributed to international studies and publications and has introduced modern catheter‑based techniques. His expertise includes cardiology, angiology, and preventive medicine.

Wissarut Sakulpaptong, M.D., is a board-certified cardiologist and a cardiology staff member at King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital. He specializes in advanced echocardiography. Professor Sung-Ho Kim, MD, MS, PhD, is a pediatric cardiologist and congenital heart disease specialist with more than 40 years of experience. He trained at Hanyang University College of Medicine (MD) and Hanyang University Graduate School (MS, PhD). He helped advance catheter-based treatment of ASD, VSD, tetralogy of Fallot, and other defects. This work reduced the need for open-heart surgery. He has performed more than 1,200 pediatric and congenital cardiac interventions.

He has led academic and clinical programs. He contributes to research and training. He also participates in professional cardiology societies and presents at international conferences.
