Ukończyłem studia medyczne w Szkole Medycznej Uniwersytetu Technicznego Karadeniz w latach 1986-1992. Pracowałem jako lekarz w podokręgu Alacahan, dystrykcie Kangal, mieście Sivas w latach 1992-1993 oraz w siedzibie policji Sivas w celu odbycia służby wojskowej. W latach 1993-1994 zostałem przydzielony na stanowisko kierownika grupy ds. zdrowia i lekarza w dystrykcie Dernekpazarı w Trabzonie. Intensywnie zajmuję się wszelkimi procedurami chirurgii laparoskopowej (zwłaszcza chirurgią bariatryczną i układu pokarmowego) oraz procedurami endoskopii diagnostycznej i terapeutycznej (gastroskopia, kolonoskopia, ERCP, ultrasonografia endoskopowa) w tej klinice od 2003 roku i pełnię również rolę trenera. Wykonuję i szkolę innych w zakresie procedur chirurgii ogólnej z systemem Da Vinci Robotic od 2010 roku.

Jestem autorem 74 artykułów opublikowanych w czasopismach SCI i SCI-e oraz 55 artykułów opublikowanych w czasopismach lokalnych, a także 7 rozdziałów książek i 86 artykułów przedstawionych na lokalnych kongresach oraz 180 artykułów przedstawionych na kongresach międzynarodowych.

Jestem członkiem Turkish Surgical Association, Turkish Association of Trauma and Emergency Surgery, Turkish Association of Endoscopic – Laparoscopic Surgery, Turkish Association of Obesity Surgery, Turkish Transplantation Centers Coordination Association i Istanbul Surgical Association.
