Prof. dr Yasef rozpoczął studia medyczne na Uniwersytecie w Stambule w 1973 r. i ukończył Wydział Lekarski Cerrahpaşa Uniwersytetu w Stambule w 1979 r. Rozpoczął specjalizację z neurologii na tym samym uniwersytecie w 1980 r. i został neurologiem w 1985 r. Podczas szkolenia specjalistycznego spędził 6 miesięcy na Uniwersytecie Hacettepe w Katedrze Neurologii w Ankarze.
Po zostaniu neurologiem odbył 3,5 roku obowiązkowej służby rządowej, spędzając pierwsze 1,5 roku w Szpitalu Marynarki Wojennej Iskenderun, a następne 2 lata w Szpitalu Ubezpieczeń Społecznych Diyarbakır. Wrócił na Uniwersytet w Stambule w 1989 roku.
Prof. dr Yasef pracował za granicą, w Stanach Zjednoczonych, w latach 1990-1991, gdzie zajmował się demencją i neurologią behawioralną.
W 1994 roku został profesorem nadzwyczajnym i kontynuował pracę na Uniwersytecie Stambulskim do 1999 roku. W latach 1999-2002 pracował w szpitalu Florence Nightingale, a następnie w szpitalu Kozyatağı Acıbadem od 2004 do 2013 roku.
Od 2013 roku jest cennym członkiem zespołu szpitala Florence Nightingale.

Dr. Gulsen Kose is a respected pediatric neurologist with over 40 years of experience. She has worked at leading Turkish institutions, including Hacettepe University and Liv Hospital. In 1993, she established the Pediatric Neurology Department at Ankara Pediatric Health and Hematology Oncology Hospital. This was an important step forward for pediatric care in Turkey.
Dr. Kose specializes in neurodegenerative, neurometabolic, and rare acquired neurological diseases. She has special expertise in Autoimmune Encephalitis and SSPE. Her work has improved the lives of thousands of children, especially those with epilepsy and cerebral palsy. She is a founding member of the Turkish Society of Developmental Pediatric Neurology.
