Dr. Idris Sertbas is a skilled neurosurgeon with experience in both adult and pediatric brain and spine surgeries. He performs complex procedures such as brain and cerebellum tumor surgeries. He also treats children with conditions like hydrocephalus, tethered cord, and craniosynostosis. Dr. Sertbas is experienced in advanced spine surgeries, including stabilization for disc herniation, vertebroplasty, and kyphosis surgery.

He is trained in neuromodulation surgeries, such as deep brain stimulation for Parkinson’s disease, epilepsy stimulation, and spinal cord stimulation for chronic pain. He also performs procedures for trigeminal neuralgia, hemifacial spasm, and baclofen pump implantation for severe spasticity.

He has published 75 international medical articles, showing his strong contribution to pediatric oncology research. Dr. Apak has worked as assistant editor for the Turkish Pediatrics Archives Periodical. He has also held important academic and leadership positions, such as Head of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology at Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa.

Moje 34 lata w medycynie – co stanowi ponad połowę mojego życia… Po tysiącach operacji, emocje i poczucie odpowiedzialności pierwszego dnia nadal przeważają. Mój ojciec był lekarzem, neurologiem również. Zawsze odpowiadałem tym, którzy pytali, kim będę w szkole podstawowej i średniej: neurochirurgiem. Kiedy w 1992 roku rozpocząłem rezydenturę neurochirurgiczną w szpitalu Haydarpaşa Numune, mój cel z dzieciństwa został spełniony. Dwa punkty zawsze wyróżniały się na tle innych w całej mojej karierze medycznej: 1. Nikomu nie szkodzić. 2. Najważniejszą relacją między lekarzem a pacjentem jest relacja zaufania. Zgodnie z zasadą „najpierw nie szkodzić” w języku tureckim i „primum non nocere” w języku łacińskim, zawsze wolałem wykonywać zabezpieczone operacje pod mikroskopem z mniejszych nacięć. Nie wykonywałem żadnych operacji, co do których nie byłem pewien, czy pacjent odniesie z nich korzyści. Zawsze byłem w stanie najpierw przekonać samego siebie o potrzebie operacji. Następnie przekonywałem swojego pacjenta. Pamiętałem, że najważniejszą relacją między chirurgiem a pacjentem jest relacja zaufania. Jak ktoś może powierzyć swoje życie komuś, kogo widział 15 minut temu, bez relacji zaufania? Zależało mi na tym, aby ta relacja przetrwała po operacji, a nawet na całe życie. Miałem pierwsze spacery moich pacjentów, których operowałem od 28 lat. Czasami nawet po północy, wiele razy… Zawsze zależało mi na tym, aby niektórzy pacjenci czuli potrzebę wizyty u lekarza nawet o 03:00 w nocy. Nie mam nic przeciwko podaniu wszystkim moim pacjentom numeru telefonu komórkowego. Chciałbym, aby mój lekarz był dostępny w każdej chwili, gdy będzie to potrzebne. To właśnie robię dla moich pacjentów. W tym miejscu poczułem potrzebę opisania mojego poglądu na medycynę. Każdy, kto się zastanawia, może dotrzeć do mojego CV i moich publikacji.

Dr. Cagri Canbolat is a neurosurgeon. He specializes in neuro-oncological surgery, skull base surgery, neurovascular surgery, minimally invasive spinal surgery, oncological spinal surgery, pediatric neurosurgery, neuro-trauma, and neuro-intensive care. He completed his medical education and neurosurgery training at Cumhuriyet University Faculty of Medicine from 2005 to 2018.

Dr. Canbolat has contributed to research on the therapeutic effects of Etanercept and Ustekinumab in spinal cord injury models. He has also studied the genetics of neural tube defects. His publications include work on primary central nervous system lymphoma and surgical outcomes in elderly patients with intracranial meningioma. He has analyzed 228 cases in these studies.

Dr. Binnur Simsek is a gastroenterology specialist. She has experience in liver cirrhosis, portal hypertension, hepatocellular carcinoma, liver transplantation, and viral hepatitis (B, C, Delta). She also treats alcoholic and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, peptic ulcers, gastrointestinal bleeding, and inflammatory bowel diseases such as ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s colitis.

Dr. Itir Sirinoglu Temiz is a Professor of Hematology. She specializes in lymphoma, acute and chronic leukemias, multiple myeloma, thrombocytopenias, thrombosis, anemia, and bone marrow failure. She graduated with honors from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine. She completed her hematology training at Dr. Abdurrahman Yurtarslan Oncology Education and Research Hospital.

Dr. Sirinoglu Temiz has held key academic and administrative positions. She served as Head of Internal Medicine at IAU Faculty of Medicine. She was also Education and Administrative Manager at SBÜ Bakırköy Dr. Sadi Konuk EAH Hematology Clinic. She has broad experience in adult hematology, stem cell transplantation, and therapeutic apheresis. She currently practices at Liv Hospital.

Dr. Gokhan Kursat Kara is an orthopaedic surgeon with expertise in spine surgery, arthroplasty, and trauma and deformity correction. He graduated from Istanbul University Medical Faculty. He completed his residency in orthopaedics and traumatology at Uludag University.
